Back at the hotel for the night. We had an amazing day meeting with the women at Jehovah Jireh center for rape victims. My heart broke for them, and I know that I will be back here one day. We got to see several other ministries that one of our guides is involved in. It was encouraging to see the ways he is reaching out and helping his community. I am exhausted right now and I think that is all I have the energy to share right now. I took lots and lots of pictures that I can’t wait to share.

We are waiting this morning to be picked up and taken to Jehovah Jireh center for rape victims in Goma, DRC. We will be meeting with them and encouraging them. I’m hoping to film some interviews and take pictures to help share their stories. God is moving in our team and we are all excited to see where that will lead us.

We are safely in Goma in the DRC! we got in earlier this afternoon and spent some time planning at the hotel. I’ll he going to bed soon, as all this travel has been fairly exhausting. We have an interesting few days ahead of us, and I am confident that God will lead us in to whatever we are supposed to be a part of. Thank you for your continued prayers, they have been felt in a great way. It is only by Gods power and the prayers of our friends that we were able to cross in to the DRC with no issues. So thank you! And praise God!

We are now in Kigali, Rwanda. Everyone made it on to the plane last night, and we stayed with Enoch and his family last night. We are waiting for a bus to the DRC right now, but plans beyond that seem to be up in the air. We will have some time with some women at a center for rape victims tomorrow, and then try to fly out on Sunday to go visit the pygmies. God is in control of what happens and I will rest in that.

I am currently sitting in an airport in Uganda, listening to worship music on the stereo of the little shop I’m in, killing time while we are delayed. We flew from Nairobi, Kenya to Entebbe, Uganda, and after we deplaned, found out that our flight from Entebbe to Kigale, Rwanda, was full. We are now waiting in the airport until 10 pm for the next flight they were able to get us on. I’m very thankful right now for this little shop that has $7 unlimited internet access and worship music. Its a very nice little place of rest, and nice to be able to send an update. I know that God has a plan...

I think we crammed three weeks into today. This morning seems so long ago, and its amazing. We heard a lot of great things from Dwight this morning, and then from Adrian Despres after lunch. He was talking to us about having a passion for christ, and how the root word of passion in latin is pati, or suffering. The idea is that when you are passionate about something, you take joy in suffering because you enjoy whatever activity it is.
His second session was on sharing your faith and built on the idea that if you are passionate about Jesus, then you will take delight in suffering for him, and also,...

Wow. I don’t know what all to say right now. Today was just an amazing day in so many ways, but I’m so exhausted, I don’t know how to express myself properly. Here’s an attempt:
We woke up at 5 am in order to be ready to go somewhere at 6. We are on a need to know basis regarding our schedule for pretty much the whole trip. So we hop on the bus and drive to downtown Boulder. Rob gave a session in the square by the courthouse and talked about obstacles we have that are keeping us from having a clear view of God. We had a time to go walk around and pray about what obstacles...

I’m here in a hotel in Aurora, CO, right near the Kingdom Building Ministries headquarters. After arriving on thursday evening, I spent some time in Boulder, CO, with the Smith family, some friends from when I was younger. We had a great time just talking about everything. Then on friday, they brought me to Aurora to check in to the hotel I’ll be in, and here I am.
The trip proper starts today at noon with an orientation time. I think at this point about half of the team is here and we will all officially meet at our orientation. I’m getting more and more excited as the start...

I am on my second flight of the day, on my way to denver to start an unexpected new chapter of my life. A new chapter that is marked by change and sadness, but also excitement and faithfulness. I was on track to getting married this summer, but God stepped in and called me to something completely different, and after a period of fighting it, I had to give in to his will for me. So here I am on a hot crowded metal tube on my way into a very exciting two months. I am stepping out in faith that God is guiding me in to something great. All I can do is trust him, because I have no clue what these two months...
