I am a photographer and I don’t want to create. I want to convey. I do not want my photography to try and make something new, I want to show things that already exist, and show them in a new light. I want to bring attention to things that people may take for granted, things that might be easily looked over, discounted for being mundane, commonplace. This isn’t to say that I don’t want to be creative in my approach to capturing the world, but I don’t want my sole purpose to be simply the act of creating. No art for arts sake. I want to convey a story, I want to inspire change, change in the way you look at the world.
